1) Scale down the ""Tomato Festival"", making it a little more casual. In Town Picnic, it was good that it was a big event, because that heightened the food line crisis. But in this case, I think we want to keep it lower key so we focus more on the contest.
2) Let's just have Hazel carry the scarf the whole time. It's more like a neckerchief.
3) Some streamlining of the discovery scene. See notes below.

It shows great team work and persistence to solving the problem. It also shows how the characters are thinking creatively. I am worried about the word "catch" the air. I think most children will picture a baseball glove. We could more generally just comment on the air slowing some items down and not others. I also think the scarf should be one of the items tested while they are testing the leaf and pine cone. Then they use it to engineer a solution. Otherwise it is more of a leap for the viewers to keep up with the characters thinking.</Text>

A tomato drop is exactly the kind of playful, funny, slightly off-kilter thing we'd ex[ect to find in Animal Town (and in Animal Town, only)!

RE: ""Catch the air."" Sara makes a good point, although we also think the phrase feels like a nice preschool way to talk about something that’s hard to understand. We certainly don't want to do anything that will get in the way of kids understanding the concept, though. Perhaps we could chat about this quicly.
Another thought is, is there any way the baseball glove metaphor can be useful, as a point of illustration? For example, what if a character says (re: Ari's wings) ""Catch the air? Like a baseball glove?"" and Ari explains, ""Sort of! My wings make a pocket that the air fits into, kind of like a baseball fits into a baseball glove."" It's not a perfect comparison and perhaps it complicates things too much, but that's one idea. It feels a little vague to leave it as the air slows some things down and not others, without offering some sort of explanation about why.
